Harley Quinn Doll

When I met my friend, Au’na, two years ago, we didn’t set out to do a doll commission for her every year, to be delivered (and often completed) at Gen Con. But it’s gotten to be a lovely tradition. This year’s commission was Harley Quinn — her DC avatar.

With each new doll I do, I have to create a new stencil for the character’s features — whether it’s a new wig, a coat, a hat, etc. Sometimes the results fall flat (I’ve never been satisfied with Data’s wig — someday I’ll fix it). Other times, like with Harley’s hat, collar and mask, it turns out pretty good.

Au’na seemed thrilled with Harley. And enough people at my workshop asked about a Harley stencil that I’m going to make it available when I do the doll workshop again next year. What do you guys think?
