Tedious Things in the Lives of Crafters #12: Getting the knack of new stitches

I don’t know about anyone else but it took me forever to learn the rib stitch — I knitted my first wristbands with garter edges just to avoid it.

Even two years after making my first (very uneven) hat, I’m still not convinced I’m doing it right. Does everyone else’s start out looking like rock candy on a stick?

  1. When I first started knitting I referred to my needles as helicopter blades! LOL
