Transgender Pride Cross Stitch Necklace

The pride rolls on! This time, it was the trans* community’s turn. There are several flags used and endorsed in different trans* communities and I decided to start with the one designed by Monica Helms in 1999.

Bottle cap
Pringles lid
U.S. Quarter
Plastic push pin
Birch coffee stirrer
16-count cross stitch cloth
Light pink cotton embroidery floss
White cotton embroidery floss
Turquoise blue cotton embroidery floss
7mm jump ring
Craft glue
Jewelry pliers
Sewing needles

The nice thing about making a series of these necklaces is that I’ve been able to work on two or three of them at once and keep their various stages in order as I work on them (my ace pride design was finished, cut and glued while I was getting the backing panel and bezel ready for the trans* pride necklace).

I’m really pleased with how these look. I may just keep going and make five or six of each. What do you think?
