“Whatever Happened to Baby Jayne” Knit Hat
My friend Au’na originally commissioned a Jayne Cobb hat for her little boy before he was born. I ended unwrapping it up just in time for GenCon
Sugar N’ Creme hot orange yarn
Caron Simply Soft goldenrod yarn
US 8 needles
Scrap cardboard
Yarn needle
Scissors
Props again to Knitting Ninja for their awesome pattern and their recommendations for Pom Pom tutorials. Because I was using slightly smaller needles and I was adjusting the pattern or a young baby, I cast on 56 stitches.
Creating the apparatus for the Pom Pom ended up being easier this time around — once I realized the base of my coffee cup was 3″ and a US quarter is 1″. Crafting is always awesome when you realize how versatile everyday items are.
Baby Jayne has been a big hit this weekend! What do you guys think?
