New knitting book

The opening line of the very first pattern in Pints and Purls detailing why anyone might be knitting on a night out in a bar (“So you’re the designated driver. Or you’re on a course of antibiotics or in a twelve-step program, or maybe you just don’t feel like imbibing tonight…”) endeared me to this collection immediately.

Lots of short and long projects — some of which could be easily completed over a weekend of pub crawling. I haven’t knitted socially in a group in months, but if I were to start looking, it would be for something similar to what these patterns cater to.
